Trivia[]

Characters[]

Cultural References[]

  • Yukari and Nyamo look in a holiday gift catalog.
  • Osaka talks about drawing or printing out New Year's cards.
  • Kagura and Tomo discuss whether Chiyo-chan still believes in Santa Claus, and how Santa's existence could be explained in that case.
  • Tomo doesn't believe in reindeer because she thinks they are flying deer, like they are often depicted when they appear in Christmas carols, stories and art.

Unanswered Questions[]

  • It is unknown what happened to the foreigner whom Yukari tried to help by carrying his bags, but ran away from when she learned that he was German.
  • We do not find out where Yukari got the holiday gift catalog from, since she was only interested in looking at pictures of food.
  • Chiyo brings something to Yukari in the teachers' room, but it is not known what it is or why she brought it.
  • Where the fart came from that Osaka smelled but that wasn't hers.

Memorable Moments[]

  • Kagura embarrasses herself when she tries to help a foreigner with his bags, despite the fact that she can not speak English very well.
  • Kagura meets Kamineko (the first time anyone other than Sakaki has met it in the series) and tries to discipline it by hitting it when it tries to bite Sakaki.
  • Yukari calls Chiyo "Chiyosuke," a way of teasing her by adding a common ending to Japanese boys' names to her name. This is repeated later in the series.
  • Tomo asks Yomi and Chiyo what they would want if they could have anything for a Christmas present. Yomi replies "a hundred trillion yen" and Chiyo says she wants the big star put on top of the Christmas tree in front of the train station.
  • Everyone judges Tomo when she says she doesn't believe in reindeer.
