Toru Takahashi (高橋 亨), born June 9, 1969, in Fukushima, is an anime director, storyboard artist, and key animator. He has directed ep. 23 and ep. 26 of Azumanga Daioh and drawn the storyboards of ep. 8 and ep. 9. Takahashi has also worked with Death Note, Highschool of the Dead, Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, NANA, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Sword Art Online, and many other series.
